Applications Open April 3

Monday, March 13, 2023—Casper, Wyoming—The Natrona County Travel and Tourism Council (doing business as Visit Casper) is preparing to open the Casper Area Impact Grant cycle. As part of this year’s grant process, Visit Casper is hosting a town hall that will include a presentation and time for questions to clarify the grant cycle.

“The Casper Area Impact Grant is an integral program at Visit Casper,” said Amanda Sewell, Destinations Experience Coordinator at Visit Casper. “To help ensure that all interested parties have a firm understanding of the program and how to apply for available funds, we’re hosting town hall sessions.”

Two town hall sessions will be held Tuesday, March 21 at the Ramkota Hotel & Conference Center’s Wyoming Theater Room:

  • 12 - 1 p.m.: In-person and zoom available
  • 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.: In-person and zoom available

This year’s grant application cycle opens Monday, April 3 and closes Friday, May 19. Grant forms are available here (including the CAI grant application and the pre-budget sheet for each project or event, which must be submitted together). Applications can be submitted via mail to Visit Casper, CAI Grant, 139 W. 2nd St., Ste. 1B, Casper, WY 82601, or email at asewell@visitcasper.com.

Through the grant program, Visit Casper supports diverse offerings that help bring visitors to Natrona County while generating overnight stays throughout the county. The grant committee looks at a variety of factors on the application, including the number of room nights generated in local lodging accommodations, time of year for the event, impact and retention. Applications are reviewed by the committee and then approved by the Natrona County Travel and Tourism Council Board of Directors.

Grant reporting includes project and evaluation form, hotel tracking form, post-budget sheet of project/event, copies of advertising, copies of recognition of the event and invoices/proof of payment for grant expenditures.
