Winter Sports

Winter in Casper doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s time to stay inside. Casper Mountain in the winter is a snow lover’s paradise. Just minutes from downtown, you’ll find over 50 miles of multi-use trails— both groomed and back country— perfect for cross-country skiing, fat biking and snowshoeing. The Casper Mountain Trails Center even has 1.2 miles of trails that are well-lit after dark, which means the day isn’t over just because the sun goes down.
If alpine adventures are more your style, Hogadon Basin Ski Area has 27 trails for a variety of snowboarding and skiing abilities. Bonus: the new Hogadon Lodge offers a cozy place to warm up with a meal or a drink and a stunning view of the city.
If you prefer your winter sports that involve a little horsepower, perhaps snowmobiling is more your speed. Casper Mountain has 32 miles of marked, groomed trails as well as vast ungroomed areas to roam.

Whether your dream getaway looks more like a winter wonderland or action packed adventure, you can find it in Casper.
