PLAY IN THE SNOW
Winter Sports
As fun as it can be to cozy up indoors in the Winter Months, don't be fooled - the real magic lies out your front door. Casper Mountain in the winter is a snow lover’s paradise. Just minutes from downtown, you’ll find over 50 miles of multi-use trail - both groomed and back country - perfect for cross-country skiing, fat biking and snowshoeing. The Casper Mountain Trails Center even has 1.2 miles of trails that are well-lit after dark, which means the day isn’t over just because the sun goes down.
If alpine adventures are more your style, Hogadon Basin Ski Area has 27 trails for a variety of snowboarding and skiing abilities. Bonus: the new Hogadon Lodge offers a cozy place to warm up with a meal or a drink paired with a stunning view of the city. If you prefer your winter sports that involve a little horsepower, perhaps snowmobiling is more your speed. Casper Mountain has 32 miles of marked, groomed trails as well as vast ungroomed areas to roam.
Whether your dream getaway looks more like a winter wonderland or an action packed adventure, you can find it in Casper.
