Family-Friendly Vacations in Casper, Wyoming
THINGS TO DO WITH KIDS IN CASPER, WYOMING
Casper is the perfect combination of outdoor recreation and touchable history, making it an ideal location for a family vacation for all ages. Nearby Casper Mountain is home to expansive trails for biking and hiking, Garden Creek Falls (great for a multi-generation vacation or visit), camping, downhill skiing and snowboarding at Hogadon Basin Ski Area and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at the Casper Nordic Trails Center.
Off the mountain, kids and their parents can play at David Street Station’s ice skating rink and splash pad, enjoy the interactive exhibits at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, walk with dinosaurs at the Tate Museum, bike along the Platte River Parkway, float the North Platte River or catch a performance during the College National Finals Rodeo, held every June.
Be sure to check out the city’s kid-friendly museums, including The Science Zone, Casper Planetarium and Werner Wildlife Museum. Or, for a hearty helping of kid-friendly culture, visit the Discovery Center at The Nicolaysen Art Museum
