Performing Arts, Music, and Theater in Casper
Don’t let our wild terrain, open spaces, and simple way of life fool you—the arts are alive and well here in Casper. This community thrives on creativity, expression, and connection. From diverse museums and contemporary art galleries to live music, local theater, and Wyoming’s first opera, Casper serves up an impressive array of cultural experiences in the heart of the West.
At the center of it all is David Street Station, a vibrant gathering place in downtown Casper. This outdoor venue transforms with the seasons, hosting summer farmers markets, live concerts, festivals, and movie nights, then turning into a winter wonderland with a skating rink, Christmas tree, and holiday events. Just up the hill, the Ford Wyoming Center overlooks the city and welcomes concerts, touring performances, sporting events, and the College National Finals Rodeo very June.
Casper is also home to the Nicolaysen Art Museum, Wyoming’s largest art museum, featuring rotating exhibits from local and national artists. Nearby, Opera Wyoming, Wyoming’s first opera company, brings high-quality productions to the community. In the summers, The Bloomery opens their flower-farm gates to visitors for live concerts, local brews, and epic sunsets.
In Casper, art isn’t hidden behind gallery walls, it’s visible on almost every street corner. Whether you’re discovering our murals, catching a live performance under the stars, or exploring one of our historic museums, you’ll find inspiration everywhere you go.
