Tribute to the Great American Cowboy
November 7, 2026
With a rich Western history and culture that’s deeply engrained in the cowboy way of life, one of the best rodeo events of the year is A Tribute to the Great American Cowboy.
First launched as A Tribute to Chris LeDoux, honoring the legendary artist, musician, and World Champion cowboy, the event was named the 2005 PRCA Small Indoor Rodeo of the Year out of 740 rodeos nationwide.
In 2011, at the request of the LeDoux family, the event was renamed the Great American Cowboy PRCA Rodeo—expanding its mission to honor all cowboys and celebrate the true spirit of the West. Each year, the rodeo draws World Champion cowboys and NFR qualifiers, bringing elite competition and world-class rodeo action to Casper. Beyond the arena, this event is also a tribute to our Military Troops and First Responders, recognizing their courage and sacrifice alongside the grit of the cowboy way of life. Experience the rodeo that honors legends, heroes, and the Western spirit—don’t miss the Great American Cowboy PRCA Rodeo!
