College National Finals Rodeo
JUNE 15 - 21
In Wyoming, we know a thing or two about the Western Way of life. Around here, rodeo is considered the official state sport so it's fitting that the Cowboy State plays host to the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR).
Each June, Casper welcomes 400+ of the best college and university rodeo athletes from around the country to the Ford Wyoming Center where they'll go head-to-head to become a national champion as they compete in saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, breakaway roping, goat tying, and barrel racing.

What is Slack?
There are only four performances and one championship round at the College National Finals Rodeo. The number of contestants that can compete in the performances is also limited due to time. This means that we will always have an overflow of contestants who still are entitled to compete for a chance at the championship round. Slack provides the time needed for these athletes to compete before the nightly performances. At CNFR we have two rounds of Slack, come see what all the fuss is about June 10 - 11 at these daytime rodeos.
