GREAT DUCK DERBY AND
RIVERFEST
Say goodbye to summer at Casper’s Riverfest and The Great Duck Derby. What began in 1992 as a celebration of the completion of the new segment of a riverfront trail has turned into an end-of-August staple in Casper, and it remains the major fundraiser for our community’s integral trail systems.
Riverfest takes place at Crossroads Park by the North Platte River and it is free to enjoy live music and festivities. In addition, you can purchase tickets to enjoy the brewfest portion of the event that features local and regional selections of craft beers from local breweries and vendors serving up unlimited sips of beer. Tickets are also required to enter The Great Duck Derby - a giant rubber duck race down the North Platte River. The grand prize winner walks away with cash and local bragging rights, but there are dozens of other winners of various prizes up for grabs.
This year, Riverfest will be held on Saturday, August 10th, 2024 from 1:00 to 6:00 pm. Click here for more information and for tickets.
