Historic Architecture of Casper

Overview

Historian Geoff Hunt will honor Historic Preservation month with a talk on Historic Preservation Architecture. Known as the “Wizard of History,” Geoff is an architectural historian who has worked in museums and taught architectural history at the college level. He has also worked on historic preservation projects. He will talk about house styles, focusing on Casper. He will cover some basics of historic preservation.

Geoff Hunt earned his Bachelor of Arts in History at University of Wyoming, his master’s in museum studies at Cooperstown, and Ph.D. in History at Colorado University Boulder. He is active with other Casper cultural sites, Crimson Dawn and the Nicolaysen Museum.
