Casper’s Winter Events are Bringing the Heat

Downtown Christmas Parade
A Casper tradition, the Downtown Christmas Parade is one of the city's favorite winter events. Slated for Saturday, December 6, the Christmas Parade showcases Casper's love of the holiday season and the spirit of Christmas. Prior to the parade, grab a hot chocolate from a local coffee shop and cheer on your favorite floats while waving hello to Santa.
Live Music + Performances
Unlike bears, Casper’s concert schedule never goes into hibernation.
Catch an cool lineup of award-winning artists all across town throughout the winter season. Upcoming concerts include: the Nutcracker at the Ford Wyoming Center (November 25), Tom Arnold at the Rialto (December 5), Wyoming Symphony Orchestra: Holiday Concert at Natrona County High School (December 6), 2026 Kinser Jazz Festival at Casper College (February 9-11) and Ian Munsick at the Ford Wyoming Center (February 19). Winter Roundup Convention + Trade Show
Do you put stock in livestock? If so, plan to head to the Ramkota Hotel December 8-10, 2025 for this annual event hosted by the Wyoming Stock Growers Association. The Winter Roundup includes three days of networking and education, as well as forums, committee meetings and an annual auction. This year's event will also provide the ranching industry with technology insights.
Weekly Events in Casper This Winter
If you're in town visiting, attending one (or more) of the weekly events in Casper is a great way to rub elbows with the locals. Check out Wednesday trivia at Frontier Brewing Company and Taproom, Flannel Fridays (third Friday of the month) and Karaoke Night (last Friday of the month) at Black Tooth Brewing.
Winter Sports
For an organized winter sporting event, check out the HAWG Ice Fishing Derby, held every January on Pathfinder Reservoir.
Winter is also the perfect time of year to take advantage of Casper's snow-loving offerings: grab some friends, rent some fat bikes and ride through Casper Mountain’s powder. Hold an impromptu figure skating competition at the Casper Ice Arena or David Street Station. Layer up and go snow camping or enjoy the downhill terrain on skis or a snowboard at Hogadon Basin Ski Area. When it comes to outdoor winter adventures in Casper, the possibilities truly are endless.
