September 11 & 12 - Fur Trade Era Living History Event

At the Trails, Friday, September 11, 9:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. & Saturday, September 12, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. come and participate with the Platte Bridge Company re-enactors as they retell the of the Fur Trade Era story in the west. Living historians will provide various demonstrations of the fur trade and mountain man era throughout the weekend. Events will include special furs and trade items, trapping demonstrations, Dutch-oven cooking, free souvenirs for kids, and much more!

Scheduled events for both days include:

-Hide and fur presentations;

-Trapping demonstrations: How to set a trap line;

-Life, tools, and trade demonstrations of the mountain men;

-All day - Dutch-oven cooking.
