Celebrate America's 250th in Casper, Wyoming

As our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary, Casper, Wyoming invites you to come and experience some of our nation's richest history.

While there will be ways for visitors to celebrate all year with rides on the Oregon Trail with Historic Trails West or by experiencing Wyoming's state sport at the College National Finals Rodeo in June, July 4th will be the culmination of our celebrations. From our downtown sidewalk chalk festival and pancake breakfast to the Demo Derby at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds and an epic fireworks show to close out the night at the Ford Wyoming Center, July 4th in Casper will be an unforgettable one.

Celebrate America's Semiquincentennial in Casper, Wyoming!

  • College National Finals Rodeo: Experience Casper's rodeo culture and find out for yourself why it's our state sport at the Ford Wyoming Center June 14-20.
  • Ride the Oregon Trail: Guided by Morris Carter with Historic Trails West, visitors can book a ride in a covered wagon on the ruts of the Oregon Trail all summer long.
  • Central Wyoming Fairgrounds: Celebrate America's spirit at the 9-day event at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds.
  • Ford Wyoming Center: While the kids play on the inflatables, parents can enjoy the beer garden before an epic fireworks show on July 4th!
  • Downtown Casper: Bring the family and create some chalk artwork on the sidewalks of downtown Casper, followed by a pancake breakfast.
  • City of Mills: Join us for the grand opening of Sacrifice and Service Park on July 4th!
