Here's our guide to making the most of Halloween events - from trick or treating to events for kids - in Casper.
Ghost Tours and Haunted Stops
There’s no better way to get into the spooky spirit of Halloween than a Fort Caspar ghost tour. Led by the Caspar Area Paranormal Society, you can spend the evening on the hallowed ground of Fort Caspar, which consists of a reconstructed military post, abandoned quarters and a cemetery. Capture shocking evidence of the paranormal on their specialized ghost-hunting equipment, but be careful not to let any ghouls follow you home. For 2025, ghost hunting tours are offered October 17, 18 and 24. Book your tickets early!
You can also search for the man smoking behind the bar at the Rialto Soda Fountain. A cigar shop in the 1920s that in now a family-friendly soda fountain and candy shop, the corner building by one of the town’s oldest movie theaters is known to be haunted. Brave a visit, sip on a cold old-fashioned soda and risk a chance encounter with the unexplainable — objects moving on their own or an unexplained cold draft in the corner. If you see a ghost, chances are it's the previous owner who can occasionally be seen standing behind the counter and smoking.
If witchy is more your vibe than hauntings, travel up Casper Mountain to visit the Crimson Dawn Park and Museum, both themed after the famed 1920s writer and artist who lived there, Neal Forsing. In the museum, which is located in the rustic cabin where Forsing and her family lived, you’ll find her works and stories about the inspiration of the area. Be sure to dive deeper into the woods with the park’s series of trails where you can see dedications to the author's work, Crimson Dawn.
Paranormal Cirque
Immerse yourself in a world of thrills, chills and suspense, as you experience a Paranormal journey like no other right here in Casper at the Eastridge Mall on October 24-27th.
Under this Clown Castle, the black and red big top tent, Acrobats of the Air, Illusionists, freaks, mysterious creatures and all the elements that make one think of a "normal" Circus but that of normal has very little! A new show with breathtaking implications always poised between fun and the most uninhibited fear that will transport you to a dark world inhabited by creatures with incredible circus art abilities. A crazy yet fun fusion between Circus, theatre, and cabaret in perfect harmony with the evolution of a show that brings you back to when we dream ... and when we had nightmares and fantasies. Scare, encompass, amuse and surprise are the ingredients for a mixture of emotions impossible to forget. This is truly a Paranormal experience like no other.
