Visit Casper Releases Updated Tourism Master Plan
April 6, 2026—Casper, Wyoming—Visit Casper – through a collaborative effort with local partners and organizations – is pleased to unveil the Casper Tourism Master Plan. The 10-year plan is designed to ensure the success, growth and sustainability of the travel industry in Natrona County.

Visit Casper worked with local organizations – including Advance Casper, Casper Downtown Development Authority, City of Casper, Casper City Council, state government and several community partners and businesses – to thoughtfully and strategically design this plan.
The plan is designed with the following goals in mind:
Clearly outlined priorities and strategies.
Coordination of efforts by various organizations, including business, civic and government.
Inspiration for additional community and visitor enhancements.
Casper attracts non-resident visitors to the area, while locals’ quality of life is also improved as a direct result of tourism. Local-facing goals include encouraging and supporting the public and private development of downtown, developing more trails on Casper Mountain and protecting and preserving the North Platte River.
Additional goals include growing Casper as a sports destination in the Rocky Mountain West, supporting development of new amenities, improving gateways to downtown Casper and expanding additional outdoor recreation options.
The Casper Tourism Plan was created with research from 2021, as well as a survey of 1,600+ Natrona County residents, 200+ previous visitors, steering committee members and 29 industry and community leaders. Visitor and resident surveys shared the need for improved activities and events, as well as the importance of natural areas, outdoor recreation, Casper Mountain, parks and river access.
“This plan has been thoughtfully designed for our entire community to strategically move Natrona County forward,” said Annette Pitts, CEO of Visit Casper. “We invite and welcome collaboration as we effectively and efficiently move our area forward and ensure it’s well-positioned as a vibrant tourism destination and place to live for years to come.”
