Benson Boone Concert Brings $734,000 in Direct Spending to Casper | 57% of Concert Attendees Came from Outside Natrona County
September 30, 2026—Casper, Wyoming—While Benson Boone may have only been in Casper for one night, his September 3 concert at the Ford Wyoming Center left a significant impact on the Casper economy.
The concert, which was a stop on Boone’s Wanted Man Tour, delivered $734,067 in direct spending to the local Casper-area economy and attracted attendees from 19 states, including California, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and Maryland to the heart of Wyoming.
The event sold 6,089 tickets, with 57% of those (or 3,471 people) coming from outside Natrona County to attend an epic night of music at the Ford Wyoming Center. More than 1,500 concert attendees stayed overnight in local lodging properties, extending their stay and increasing their spend throughout the county.
Direct spending was seen in a variety of areas, including transportation, retail, recreation, lodging and food and beverage.
“This concert was living proof that Casper and the Ford Wyoming Center can compete and hold our own when it comes to attracting major touring artists,” said Kendra Ziler, District Marketing Director for Oak View Group. “Having an artist like Benson Boone here gives people another reason to plan a trip to Casper, with many staying to explore the area.”
The concert’s impact also shows the broader role of events and entertainment in the local visitor economy. While 43% of concert attendees were from Natrona County, the majority traveled from outside of the area.
“Here in Casper, we’re fortunate to have amazing venues that continue to play a vital role in our overall economy,” said Annette Pitts, CEO of Visit Casper. “The Ford Wyoming Center is an important part of Casper’s tourism economy and has been a key driver of events and visitation for nearly 45 years. When visitors come to Casper for a concert, they’re not just buying a ticket – they’re staying in our hotels, eating at our restaurants, shopping in our stores and experiencing everything our community has to offer.”
Economic impact data was calculated using the Destinations International Event Impact Calculator, which is the industry standard for the travel and tourism industry.
