Visit Casper Releases 2025 Economic Travel and Tourism Impact Data
May 4, 2026—Casper, Wyoming—The travel and tourism industry continues to be a strong economic driver in Casper and Natrona County with 824,000 visitors coming to the destination in 2025.

“2025 was a year full of twists and turns that none of us could have predicted,” said Annette Pitts, CEO of Visit Casper. “While we saw a slight dip in overall visitation and visitor spending in Natrona County in 2025, we also saw increased interest in key Casper events like the College National Finals Rodeo and the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo.”
During 2025, Wyoming welcomed 8.8 million overnight visitors who spent $5 billion throughout the state, while that visitor spending provided $291.8 million in travel-generated taxes. In addition, 72.5% of direct visitor spending came from out-of-state and international visitors, with the visitor economy supporting 33,960 jobs in Wyoming.

Natrona County welcomed 824,000 visitors for a total of 1,922,000 overnight stays (a 1.317% decrease and 1.18% decrease, respectively).
Travel generated 3,000 jobs (an increase of 30 from 2025) in Natrona County, which accounts for 5% of the county’s total jobs.
Travelers spent $376.9 million in Natrona County, which generated $19.2 million in state and local taxes (a decrease of .7% and a decrease of 1.8%, respectively).
Top sectors for visitor spending in Natrona County are food, accommodations, retail, arts/entertainment/recreation, transportation/gas, groceries and air service.
The average length of stay is 2.3 days in Natrona County.
“While the hospitality and tourism industry faced some headwinds in 2025, our local industry demonstrated its resilience,” added Pitts. “We saw spending growth in some exciting areas such as food service and sales, retail sales, and the arts, entertainment and recreation sectors. We also saw new jobs added to the industry along with increased earnings for those workers highlighting the powerful impact this industry has right here at home.”

Visit Casper’s Facebook had 10.1 million views across all content, saw 49,100 total content interactions (an increase of 262.9%) and gained 3,000 new followers (an increase of 307.8%)
Visit Casper’s Instagram had 23,351 total content interactions (an increase of 106.5%) and gained 1,061 new followers (an increase of 29.4%) 2025 website users: 435,342 (an increase of 3.34%)
