Visit Casper Invites Local Businesses and Organizations to Participate in 250th Anniversary Festivities
With America’s 250th anniversary taking place this summer, Visit Casper is inviting local organizations and businesses to join the celebration by submitting events and other happenings.

“Our area is a key location in America’s story,” said Annette Pitts, CEO of Visit Casper. “This is where visitors can walk through history, while also being able to experience it firsthand on historic trails and national landmarks like Independence Rock.”
There are several festivities planned during the Fourth of July and throughout the summer to honor the country’s Semiquincentennial, with a focus on community, tradition and the region’s deep historical roots. Independence Day events include the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo, family-friendly events and fireworks at the Ford Wyoming Center, a sidewalk chalk festival and pancake breakfast downtown and the opening of a new park in Mills.
Residents, businesses and local organizations are encouraged to participate and add to the celebration.
“While the official anniversary date is July 4, 2026, we’re encouraging our local partners to think of ways to extend the anniversary celebrations and draw folks to Casper throughout the next several months,” added Pitts.
From culinary specials to events and offerings to commemorative opportunities, here’s how to participate:
