Kent Neubert takes the stage on Satuday, June 11 as The Bloomery west of Casper, Wyoming opens its summer concert season. Kent's performance brings "Cattle Prairie Era" cowboy songs to life with a few contemporary tunes as well. Reminiscent of Don Edwards with a little John Denver mixed in, Kent's gentle guitar and warm voice will bring a tear to your eye and memories to mind as he covers some of the old favorites including "Cowboy's Lament" and "Song of Wyoming."

Kent was introduced to music by his mother who was the choir director of his Baptist church in Overland Park, Kansas. He began playing the guitar at age 8, performed with his first bands in high school and college, and joined the local bluegrass band "Muddy Mountain Boys" in Casper, Wyoming in the 80's. Kent has been the worship leader for his church for 25 years. He is a man of faith and strength.

Kent graduated from Pittsburg State University with a BS in biology, and a DDS from the University of Missouri. When not singing or working on someone's teeth, you will find him fly-fishing, painting water colors, grand parenting, hunting and going on medical mission trips.
