While we love every season in the one and only Casper, Wyoming, fall has to be one of our favorites. The daytime temperature averages in the mid-70s with a cool autumn breeze. The trees put on their beautiful fall colors and the coffee shops around town serve up delicious pumpkin, caramel, and apple cider themed beverages and sweets. Restaurants show off their signature soups and Fort Caspar gets us in the mood for spooky season with their iconic ghost tours. If you’re a Gilmore Girls fan, you’ll appreciate our quirky Annual Fall Fest downtown and the family friendly Green Acres Corn Maze. Want to enjoy everything that’s great about autumn in Casper but have limited time? Here is our recommended 48-hour itinerary just for you!

Day 1

Breakfast – The Copper Cup (coffee and a yummy open face waffle sandwich)

Morning Activity – Get Lost in the Green Acres Corn Maze

There is so much to enjoy here! They have the corn maze, this year themed after the famed country music star Reba McIntire. They also have a petting farm, pumpkin cart rides, grain train, apple cannons, corn pit, and so much more...

Lunch – The Cottage Café (great for soups, sandwiches, salads, quiche)

Afternoon Activity – Shop Downtown Casper

Have a sweet tooth after lunch? Stop into the Historic Donnell’s Candies, their homemade sweets and treats are sure to fill your craving. Enjoy our downtown clothing boutiques which range from the latest in western fashion to stylish business wear. Perhaps the most famous among them is Lou Taubert Ranch Outfitters who keeps 1,000 pairs of cowboy boots in stock!

Dinner – FireRock Steakhouse (Wyoming beef, bison, or yak)

Evening Activity – Ghost Tour at Fort Caspar (dates are limited)

If the Ghost Tour is a “can’t miss” event in your itinerary, you’ll want to plan your visit for one of these two weekends in October:
